BORDANDO ARQUITECTURA - ARCHITECTURY EMBROIDERY

Proyecto terminado y enmarcado. Me inspiré en un dibujo del Centro Cultural Villa Victoria.  Está en la que era la mansión de la escritora argentina Victoria Ocampo en un barrio residencial de esa bella ciudad.

El proyecto me llevó unos tres meses. Quedé muy satisfecha con la obra ya que representa un edificio icónico de Mar del Plata. Utilicé puntadas simples con un solo hilo y dos o más en los árboles. En los arbustos de la parte delantera utilicé nudo francés para dar una sensación de relieve a la textura.

Contemporary or architectural embroidery finished and framed. I was inspired by a drawing of the Villa Victoria Cultural Center in Mar del Plata, Argentina. It is where was the mansion of the Argentine writer Victoria Ocampo in a residential neighborhood of that beautiful city.

The project took me about three months. I was very satisfied with the work as it represents an iconic building in Mar del Plata. I used simple stitches with a single thread and two or more on the trees. In the bushes of the front I used French knot to give a feeling of relief to the texture.
